Bali Trip - Day 3

Day 3 was a R & R day. We woke up later and went for the assumptious breakfast. Then we walked to the Waterbom Park to check out that place. We wanted to play but the locker and towel deposit are so high and we are running out of cash by then already so we went to the beach.

The weather was good, so we took a slow walked along the beach and to enjoy the breeze.

Then we went back to our resort and went to the lazy pool to relax and suntan.
Then after enough of resting we went for a swim till noon.

After the swim and a nice bath, I went to braid my hair. Never did that before but over there is so common cos is a skill for the indonesian to earn a living. The tourists there from age of 3 to 50 odd, as long as they have long hair they braid their hair and it look good in those colorful beads. So, out of curiosities, I did that two, two gals did for me and took 1 hour to complete. Phew! I almost died of boredom.

After that we had our afternoon tea at the cafe in the resort and went for our spa appointment.
The staff from the the spa place came over to fetch us and after our payment and selection of fragant we were brought into a room to get change and to enjoy the massage.
They put many stuff like scrub, polish, mud and we also had steam bath, jacuzine and flower aroma bath. We smell so good after that.

Then we ask the staff to fetch us to medas wurung restaurant for dinner. This place is a very popular place at all times and the price of the food is cheap and both locals and foreigners will patronise this place.

After dinner, we walked around and we decided to go for a drink and alcohol is dirt cheap anyway we went to a interesting restaurant called Bubba Gump Co. Havn't heard of this in overseas yet but I believe there is. A very interesting restaurant and the theme is based on the movie called the Forrest Gump. We saw a dessert with nice name Alabama Mud Pie, so we ordered and when the waiter served the food, we almost rolled down our chairs cos the serving is huge and we just had dinner. see the photo you know wat I meant. Compare the height of the mud pie to the beer bottle.

Anyway, we managed to finish after an hour. The staff in the restaurant were super friendly and they have lot of rapport with the customer. They will do magic tricks and ask IQ questions for the customers.

The waiter as David two questions from the Forrest Gump movie to test if we are observance, Guys can try to answer:
1. What is the jersey no. that Forrest Gump wear in the movie?
2. What is the name of lieutenant Dan's wife? Not a caucasian.

Try to answer bah....

Then we went back to our resort to pack our luggages...

Bali Trip Day 2

We woke up early for day 2 cos we are going for the day tour. Initially, the travel agent in singapore gave us a half day tour but we felt that since we were already day might as well top up the money and go for a full day tour instead. So we top up about Rp 700,000.

We had a very delicious breakfast provided by the resort. Really YUMMY! Esp the omelette I ate that for all 4 days hahaha....

Then first stop was to watch the Balinese Barong Dance. This is one of the dance we had learn with Mr Manhut in our previous module I think. And this is one of their traditional dance between good and evil.
Then we went up to the south I think to see the volcano and this volcano is still alive may erupt anytime too..... very majestic but peaceful and calm.....

Then we went to many places too like coffee/ spice plantation, batik making place, silver good production place, wood carvings, paintings and padi fields.
I bought something from all the places we went except silver goods one and painting. I spent the most at Batik place cos the materials were so beautiful that I just can't resist so bought 3 materials, one for myself, darling's granny and my mom.
We bought coffee for my dad, woodcarvings for either my dad or darling's grandpa.
We also bought t-shirt for our future brother in law and darling's sis.

Then before going for our seafood dinner at Jimbaran beach and to watch sunset.
The guide brought us to the spa he introduced.

The beach was very beautiful and the sunset was even better. I have never see such a nice sunset and so romantic.

The food was not bad even though we have many companion - housefly, dogs and flies.

After the dinner, we decided to shop at kuta square again. And we decided to walk into lanes that we havn't walked before and the consequence is we lost our way. So by the time we reached the resort it was close to 11pm and my legs are so numb and cramp and simply can't move. I guess probably more than 2.4 km definitely.

Had a quick bath and fall right into bed and ZZZZzzzz...........

Bali Trip 25 Nov - 28 Nov 2005

This is our third short trip together after so long. 1st was Gold Coast, 2nd KL and now Bali.
Really enjoyed our 4 days trip and the relaxation that we can never enjoyed in Singapore.

First day, we reached at 12 plus, the flight was not good due to the bad weather, there's bad turbulence and the air stewardess don't seem to be able to move much so end up we dont' have our headside and the meal was in a rush. Thank God that we reached there safely.

It's a 5mins drive to our resort. The resort looked very nice and the lobby was huge. The security was very stringent too. Have to change another transport from the main door to the lobby entrance. The local agent personnel his name is Arim. He was very efficient, he helped us to do the check in.

The amazing thing is we had a big room hahaha.... we had a kid suite. So our room has a smaller bedroom for two kids and a playstation and tv. The bed was a king side bed but not comfortable at all suffered for 3 nights. The back door lead us to the back lane of the block.

After settling down, we decided to familiarise with the place around the area so we started to walk and walk. Look out wat's there to shop later. We stopped at discovery shopping mall, really huge and not completed. The backdoor of the mall will lead us to the kuta beach.
Then we walked and ended up at kuta square. There are so many surfers shop.... and after conversion seem to be cheaper still and also their market type of shop where bargain takes place.

Just the first day, we spent lots didn't want to know how much anyway. Then we reached the hotel at 6pm plus after walking to and fro.... is really no joke. It more then wat I jogged and walked in singapore in a day. A very good workout.

We ended our day at the Irish pub/ restaurant in our resort. Nice and big portion. Best that Citibank has 20% disc. So happy, our three course meals for both is only about $20++

Good nite!

Enjoyable Day

Yesterday was a enjoyable day for me.
Went for a early morning jog. Then went out to teach and then meet my dear church sister angeline for shopping.
Purpose of the trip is to help her distress as she had suffered last few days at work. Another purpose is to bring her to the dreamweaver shop in milenia walk to see some of the stuff they sell for weddings. We are there for inspiration 'Oomm'
We met up for lunch at sake dining at city link, I tried a hot pot, so malu, as it was under the aircon my hotpot just couldn't coook the meet wih the sizzling sound. Then I realised is the positioning of the hotpot thus after shifting it away, I heard it sizzlessss.........

Then after the shopping, we also went to Tea Room for tea. Hei, they have the new product is call melt cake. With different tropical flavours.
Then went back to my beautician for hmmm waxing session and met up with David's cousin and cousin wife who came back from US. So long didn't see them and they still look good. His cousin's wife is pregnant in her 5th month. She look so pretty..
They stayed in southern california and 2007 april they will come back to singapore for stay for 1 year then they will leave for canada for good as they got their PR there alreadi. So, very very nice of them to invite us over to california before they return to Singapore..... So Darling, shall we go for honeymoon at california to stay over at their place, new york near Jessica's place (fren married over), florida your auntie's place then miami to Evelyn's place (ex-manager) .....the idea sound great!!!! HAHAHAAH!!! our pocket hole will huge...Let's see how, I want to visit Glenn too! But tat can wait right?????

Heard Darling discuss about his plan to work in Australia with his cousin. He seem very interested and his cousin said that it seem alright. Darling's mom raised both hands and legs to support us. So, Pray and submit to God that we can do that in near future like 2007/8.

Anyway nice day!

Holiday and Harry Potter

Yes, Now I'm still enjoying my holidays don't know why felt so deprived from holidays.
Anyway, I just enjoy still I come back from my holiday I guess.

Yesterday sermon spoke by Rev Tay, I really couldn't understand much and I remember I shut off halfway and was staring blankly at the at the speakers.
Taught the children choir, not bad things are going better and I better start practsing that piece or else I"ll be sight reading on actual day.... which is bad....

Today, fresh new monday and times flies... so fast and I think the results will be out soon. I don't like the idea but I can't wait too....

Finally finish my korean drama serial, 'love story at Harvard'. A very touching and happy ending show. The two females leads are so pretty, the bad woman was so pretty that david asked if she did surgery hahaha.... but I doubt la. The two guys are handsome not cute but the bad turned good guy was so cute, I loved his eyes. He has another show, let me think about it watching..
I have total 3 drama serial for this holi, finished 1 left two.

Watch Harry Potter last nite, was fantastically great and I really enjoyed myself that I don't feel that it was a 2 and half hour show. The graphic man.... was good.... the effect and the scene were well done..... the three main leads have indeed grown up and they are tall too.... and good lookings hahah.... the bad guy 'phodermo' is alive, now can't wait for the 5th episode.

Wat show to watch next? ohoh... chicken little, a comedy cartoon and the popular tune 'mai-a-hu, mai-a- hi. mai-a -hoo hoo' hahaha oh oh and 'we are the champion'

Church BBQ 2/11

YF had organised BBQ for both SF and YF. Happy that the attendance was good.
Many ppl came and few parents also supported by coming.

The SF had enjoyed themselves cos few turned into 'lobsters' and so tired. Can see that they played to their fullest...

The food was plenty... thank God for his providence. And thank God for two miraculous thing that happen:
1. Cat and I were in Lingli's car, when we reached, most of the car parks were full. But when we finally come to the car park nearer to the pit. We were stucked in the queue and was rather hopeless to find a space cos uncle Norman also couldn't find one. So, Cat and I left the car to bring the food to them first while Lingli looked for parking. Then she said that God seem to blind everyone cos there is parking lot right in front but nobody park. So she got it.
It happened to DAvid too.

2. The weather was good and the wind was strong.. It was so good that we have difficulties to light the lighter BUT we have no problem starting the fire place. The wind helped us and we save our energy to fan the fire.... And we started the fire within half an hour......and the whole fire place was heated up.

Thank GOD!!

Oh then we had this diamond debate between men and women.......Sigh...... Men hearts are hard then stones..... anyway is a no conclusion debate just for fun. So funny quite few of them actually joined in.

Diamonds are always Women BEST friend!! hmph! too bad guys.

Then we saw lightning and thunder so we decided to call off the day. Sayonara!

Hope to have anotheer one soon la...
OHOH grace your oreao cheesecake is good good good!! but sad is it melted alreadi.... the curry is also fantastic.... maybe can learn from your ma ma....or take receip from her.

Sigh!

Don't know why, just feel moody nowadays. Just blues....maybe I think too much and got myself too upset.

Nvm. Christians have to rejoice in God at all times. We shall not be affected by worldy matter too much.

Had lesson today, ms ching preach a short sermon to me to improve in my playing and to be a testimony of God. Don't know if it is God's will, today Youth Fellowship, Pr Susan also preach the similar stuff that ms ching said in the afternoon. But hers is in details cos she has an hour while ms ching use about half an hour. This really force me to seat down to think about my playing and my attitude towards my own playing and to play better.

Nowadays, I find it difficult to communicate with ppl basically frens. I just find tat I run out of words or else too tired to think of words to communicate. Don't know if this it the pre-exam syndrome. Hopefully it is just temporary, if continues that I don't know wat I'll become.
So this few weeks if said wrong things pls do not be offended.

Anyway, all the best for my exams!!

Chicester Psalms Memories

This morning at 5 am I received a call from UK.... still in my dreams heard my phone rang. Thought I'm late for school or something. Answered and heard a voice sounded so happy on the other line. Then got a shock, is him..... so sweet of you to call me... from far away.

Even happier when he told me that he just played Chicester Psalms with a lousy orchestra right?? Then his fellow cellist ask him how come he play so well. Then sigh... forever so naughty gave the answer. ( can't remember the exact words) but its rather him. Something like 'like tat lor' right? Why can't you just tell ppl you play before??? hahaha

Anyway, tat gave me a good laught that I woke up already la....then he reminded me the fast movement upbeat rhythm that he played and we sang to the last time... hei, kept me awake for at least an hour thinking back to the last performance in school and also the section he played the solo part with the soloist. Felt so much like yest.

Then the drinking session after concert. Times really flies, coming to a year alreadi.. just a year apart and he played the same piece in two different countries that is so far away.....oh, how about the chorus? which is better?? hahahaha

Must really cherish wat we have now....

Sorry havn't had time to visit his granny, will try to do that after exam...

For you: 'you MUST try to fly back for my wedding no matter wat!!!!'

Or btw, did you record any of your performance lately? send me the track okok? want to hear your new cello sound.

Listening to Beethoven string quartet now, cos need to use it for my piece. Any particulart string quartet by Beethoven is super good? anyone?
